Nau Mai Haere Mai
To the people of Aotearoa New Zealand,
We encourage you to share your vision and ideas about the fundamental rules that govern our country.
New Zealand’s constitution belongs to everyone. It provides a framework for the way all laws are made and it reflects our unique history as a society.
We realise the review of New Zealand’s constitutional arrangements may not be the first conversation that comes up at the kitchen table. People will want more background information before they can comment on such important issues.
With this in mind, the Panel has published New Zealand’s Constitution: The Conversation So Far as a starting point for discussion.
Early in 2013, the Panel will seek your views and provide more resources to stimulate discussion. These resources will be available online and in hard copy, available to everyone.
If you want to be notified of future website updates and how you can submit your views by
1 July 2013, please sign up here.
The Panel is committed to ensuring that you – along with your friends, whānau, family, work colleagues, community networks and iwi – have an opportunity to share your views.
We look forward to your involvement.
